Why practice drumming? Everything in the world has rhythm. The rising and setting of the sun, the phases of the moon, the tides of the ocean, the seasons. There’s rhythm in the breath, pulse, speech, gait, and energetic systems of the body.

A person who has no rhythm in the body can’t move well, often stumbles, is prone to accidents or injuries. No rhythm in emotions means falling into extreme moods and being easily triggered. No rhythm in mind and a person is overwhelmed with mental chatter and has difficulty making decisions. When someone maintains balance in the sways of human existence - that is rhythm.
